Suggested language for emails

Reston friends, as promised in our community update on Friday, here are suggested building blocks for email letters to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. Please feel free to use one or more of the paragraphs below to customize your email letter or use your own words. Email addresses for all Board members are listed at the bottom of this post. Dear Supervisor (xxx),

I am a resident of Fairfax County who is concerned by plans of the County Department of Planning & Zoning to increase the population density limit in the Reston Planned Residential Community (PRC) District. I ask the Board of Supervisors to stop all actions by County Planning and Zoning to change zoning density in the Reston PRC in order to permit more time for meaningful participation by our community.

Community Update from CPR

Representatives of the Coalition for a Planned Reston (CPR) and the Reston Association (RA) met on Tuesday, February 13, with Supervisor Hudgins and Fairfax County government staffers to review CPR’s proposed amendments of the Reston Master Plan. Our proposal would eliminate the perceived need to raise Reston’s zoning density from 13 to 16 persons per acre. After our meeting, however, the County agreed only to delay by one month their meeting schedule for changing zoning density.
